Lena Dunham was armed against a red carpet snafu with a pair of pasties ahead of the Golden Globes Sunday night. The actress posed for a topless photo showing her nipple covers while getting ready for the big event, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "Girls" producer Jenni Konner posted the snapshot to Instagram, along with the caption "#FREETHENIPPLE cover."
The 28-year-old has been vocal about her feelings regarding nipples and Instagram's no-nudity policy in the past. In 2013, she posted a photo of her friend breastfeeding, but censored it, writing: "Wish she didn't have to cuz the nipple is dope. Instagram, get down with the nipple."
Dunham later hit the Golden Globes red carpet in a backless Zac Posen gown.
