Mitt Romney, who ran unsuccessfully for president in both 2008 and 2012, recently told donors he's considering another run for the White House.

While many of his potential GOP opponents have been serving the public as governors, congressmen or senators, Romney has been... well, what has he been doing the last two years?

Went To See A 'Twilight' Movie

While waiting for approval to build a separate mansion in La Jolla, California, Romney purchased a home in Park City, Utah, in October 2013. The home, which was listed for $8.9 million, features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms in over 8,700 square feet, according to Forbes.

The California Coastal Commission voted in October 2013 to allow the Romneys to move forward with plans to raze their beachfront home in La Jolla and replace it with a new 11,000-square-foot mansion. Romney's plans for construction included a four-car garage with an elevator for his vehicles.

In February 2014, Romney -- who ran the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah -- complained about the amount of money Russia spent on the winter Olympics."You don't need to spend $50 billion, as Russia has, or as China did, to put on Olympic sport. Olympic sport can be demonstrated at $2 [billion] or $3 billion," Romney said. "And all that extra money could be used to do some very important things, in terms of fighting poverty and fighting disease around the world."

In a July 2014 blog post for Medium, Romney detailed a vacation he took with his wife, Ann, and five of the couple's 22 grandchildren."We visited Goblin Valley, Spooky Gulch, Peekaboo Slot Canyon, Capitol Reef National Park, Bryce National Park, Zion National Park, Lake Powell, Rainbow Arch, Grand Canyon, and the four falls in the Havasupai Reservation," Romney wrote. "All totaled, we hiked over 50 miles: quite a feat for the young -- and for Ann and me."
