The Emotional Moment When A Toddler Sees His Mom After Her 3-Week Chemo Treatment

Single mom Laura Martancik has been battling Hogdkin's lymphoma since July 2013. After undergoing standard chemotherapy and radiation treatments, she went into remission for about 3 months -- until the cancer returned this past September.

Laura and her 2-year-old son James left their home in Hawaii to live with her sister in Connecticut while she underwent a new treatment regimen and stem cell transplant at Yale Cancer Center. Because the treatment was intensive, Laura had to stay at the hospital for a "very brutal" three weeks, she told The Huffington Post.

At the end of Laura's stay, she reunited with James, and her sister captured the unbelievably magical reunion on video. "It was the best feeling ever, the best thing ever," mom said.

Laura wants other cancer patients to see a glimmer of hope in her video. "It's really hard to be in the thick of it in the hospital bed, feeling like you're hooked up to a thousand IVs with twenty doctors around you shining a flashlight in your face," she recalled. "I just hope this can help other people stay strong and realize you're gonna get home, you will get through it."
