News Anchor Goes Off On 'Fifty Shades Of Grey': 'Worst Movie I Have Ever Seen'

Hardcore "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans, brace yourselves.

While the highly anticipated new film is already selling out in cities nationwide and expected to bring in more than $45 million on its first weekend, Australia's "Today" anchor Lisa Wilkinson was not impressed.

Wilkinson went on a full-on, no-filter, "let it all out" rant on Thursday, when she declared: "'Fifty Shades of Grey' is, quite simply, the worst movie I've ever seen."

"I've got something I want to get off my chest," Wilkinson began. “Sure, I was the only woman I know who hadn’t read the books. But hey, 100 million copies sold must make a good movie, right? Wrong. 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is quite simply the worst movie I have ever seen.”

The news anchor gave the movie just 1 out of 5 stars, slamming both main characters and the movie itself for the message it sends.

"Fifty Shades of Grey is more appalling than appealing," she said. "It's domestic violence dressed up as erotica."

She described the movie thusly:

Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey is the 30-something jerk of a billionaire who never seems to work, an emotionally crippled narcissist no one could love. Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson is the one dimensional, lip biting, "could someone get that girl a chapstick," pathetic Anastasia Steele who for no discernible reason falls in love with the aforementioned jerk and single-handedly sells women across the world short.
