Renée Fabish Releases Video In Support Of 9-Year-Old Transgender Son (VIDEO)

WATCH: Parents Show Incredible Support For Transgender 9-Year-Old Son

This just made our day.

In this heartwarming and important video, Renée Fabish shares the story about her son's journey to live openly and honestly as his own authentic self.

According the The Daily Dot, Fabish and her 9-year-old son Milla Brown decided to make this video as an attempt to help his classmates understand his transgender identity and his decision not to live as the gender assigned to him at birth. The video details the family's path to an awareness and compassion for Brown's sense of self and why they decided to let their son begin transitioning.

"A frightening percentage of our transgender community suffer mental health issues," the video notes, "all due to the lack of acceptance and constant bullying they are subjected to everyday. Around half self-harm or attempt suicide. We are not willing to let our child become a part of those statistics."
