MSNBC has canceled Ronan Farrow's show, "Ronan Farrow Daily," and Joy Reid's show, "The Reid Report," an MSNBC spokesperson confirmed Thursday with The Huffington Post. The shows have filled the network's 1 and 2 p.m. ET time slots, respectively, for roughly a year since premiering Feb. 24, 2014.

The decision to cancel the shows comes weeks after The Wrap reported that MSNBC president Phil Griffin was eyeing a major shake-up at the network following low ratings.

Thomas Roberts, who most recently hosted "Way Too Early," will now anchor from 1-3 p.m as part of the network's push to bring more straight news coverage to its dayside programming. Reid will serve as MSNBC's national correspondent and appear as a regular contributor on the network's primetime programs. Farrow will stay on as a special correspondent and also host a series of primetime specials in which he interviews politicians, celebrities and public figures.
