Adam Levine Performs 'Lost Stars' With Maroon 5 At The Oscars

Adam Levine took the stage at the 2015 Oscars to perform Best Original Song nominee "Lost Stars" with his band Maroon 5. The track, written by Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois, is from the John Carney film "Begin Again," in which Levine made his feature acting debut.

The band played the moving rendition against a fittingly starry backdrop. Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter earlier this month, Levine revealed his excitement leading up to the performance.

"It's such rarified air that we're gonna be in, as far as being a musician at that particular show," he said. "I've always been a huge fan of the Oscars and the way they put it all together. It's the godfather of all awards shows. It's just so far removed from what I do."

In the Best Original Song category, "Lost Stars" is up against "Everything is Awesome" ("The Lego Movie"), "Glory" ("Selma"), "Grateful" ("Beyond The Lights") and "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" ("Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me").
