Superman may make an appearance on the upcoming CBS series "Supergirl."

According to TVLine (as mentioned by KryptonSite by way of ProjectCasting.com), the show released a casting call that pretty heavily suggests the icon will at least make a cameo. The listing calls for a body double for a "DC Comic Superhero," who must be at least 5'11, "square jawed" and have a "ripped physique." Those emailing in for consideration were told to label their subject lines "SUPERMAN."

TVLine speculates that the body double casting means the character may be obstructed in some way.

According to her comic origin story, Supergirl, aka Kara Zor-El, is Superman's cousin. The show follows what happens when, after years of hiding her powers on earth, she begins to embrace her superhero destiny. It doesn't seem all that far-fetched that her new superhero activity would warrant a visit from her Krypton-hailing relative.

Warner Bros. and CBS did not immediately respond to HuffPost Entertainment's request for comment.
