Pit Bull Bites Woman In Face During Ice Bucket Challenge (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

Graphic video posted to YouTube last week shows the moment a large dog bites a woman in the face after she is doused with cold water for an ice-bucket challenge.

User emaustin102387 posted the video on Feb. 27, claiming that the dog, which she describes as a pit bull, bit her mother without provocation last year while they were .

The video begins with small children throwing pans of water on the woman, who the Daily Mail identified as Brenda Rigdon of Florida.

The victim squeals as the children splash her and scatter, but the the dog, which is nearly as tall as she is, jumps up and bites her in the face, grabbing hold and pulling her to the ground. The shot goes out of frame as her husband runs to her aid.

The final seconds of the video are a still showing horrifying injuries that the victim presumably sustained in the attack. She survived, and is only now ready to share her story, according to her daughter.

In the YouTube description, she wrote that the dog, which was ultimately euthanized as the result of the attack, hadn't been properly trained because her sister "only kept [it] to stud out for breeding purposes." She said she posted the video to shame her sister, whose small children appear in the video and were also potentially at risk.

"This should serve as a warning to all pet owners," she added. "Unless you are going to take the time to make an animal a pet then it will remain an animal."

The Huffington Post attempted to make contact with the woman who posed the video, but requests were not returned by time of writing.
