Barney Frank Loves Having 'Bully' Bill O'Reilly's 'Hypocrisy Exposed'

Former Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank is reveling in the numerous accusations of lies and fabrications being fired at Fox News correspondent Bill O'Reilly.

The political veteran, whose new biography Frank is out now, told HuffPost Live's Alyona Minkovski on Tuesday that he is not surprised by the controversy surrounding O'Reilly, whom he called a "right-wing mouthpiece" who consistently "distorts" stories to benefit Republicans. Frank said he is most enjoying "having [O'Reilly's] hypocrisy exposed."

O'Reilly and Frank have a notoriously heated past dating back to a 2008 interview on the financial crisis. During the conversation, O'Reilly called Frank a "coward" and Frank said O'Reilly's "stupidity gets in the way of rational discussion." "He's also a bully," Frank told HuffPost Live. "I've had shouting matches with him. You have this problem when you go on his show. He starts being abusive and inaccurate. Either you fight back and you look like as big a boor as he is, or you sit there and let him get away with it. So I chose boorishness over passivity."
