Dad, model, and "Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus can add "breastfeeding ally" to his resume. Before the AMC show's newest episode on Sunday, Reedus expressed his support for nursing in public with a super cool Instagram photo.
The photo shows the actor holding a fake breast and making a peace sign next to breastfeeding mothers Tammie Hamed and Libby Dalton. Ostensibly expressing his support for the "Free the Nipple" movement, Reedus captioned the picture, "Free it! Love these ladies! Tonight's show is gonna be awesome!!!"
Hamed, Dalton, and their two little ones took the photo with Reedus on Saturday after waiting in line to meet him at the HorrorHound Weekend convention in Cincinnati. Hamed told the "Momma Is A Hippie" Facebook page that the actor "made a comment about boobs and so many babies." She recalled, "Somehow breastfeeding was mentioned and we offered to take a nursing pic with him. He was excited and said it was the best pic he's ever taken."
"The Walking Dead" star is no stranger to supporting breastfeeding mothers. Reedus has a 15-year-old son with Danish model Helena Christensen, who mentioned her decision to breastfeed as a new mom in an interview with Romy and the Bunnies.
While Reedus may not have a baby in the house anymore, it's clear that his support for a mother's right to nurse in public has not wavered.
