When it comes to April Fools' Day, it's one thing to put tape on someone's computer mouse or place plastic wrap over a toilet bowl, but it's quite another thing to spend days -- even weeks -- crafting a single prank of epic proportions.

Spoiler alert: these 10 people fall into the latter category.

Find out just how far some people are willing to go to torment the unsuspecting with these time-and-sanity consuming pranks. If you're one of those people who always waits until the last minute, maybe these will inspire you to step up your game.

  • Imagine how long this took (and how long it took to take off).
Their surprised reaction will almost make standing outside in the cold all night worth it.
  • And that, my friends, is called the 'Long Con.'
    Six months? Now that's dedication.
  • Where 4th grade science skills meet a whole lot of patience.
This probably works best on a coworker who's been on vacation.
  • Three years later, they're probably still picking these up.
April Fools' Day pranksters can learn a lot from high school seniors.
  • Bucket? Check. Snow? Check. Friend? To be decided.
For when you want to turn that Spring snow storm into a back-breaking prank.
  • Someone clearly had a lot of time (and string) on their hands.
    String theory, anyone?
  • Laying sod is a chore... Unless you're doing it indoors.
Does this mean he no longer has to take the dog outside?
  • Let's not even get into all the misuse of the office printer.
Don't just prank them, make them stare into their own eyes.
  • We don't even want to know how long it took to get all these signs.
  • The amount of detail that went into this is impressive.
But probably not as impressive as the person's reaction.
