One Thing We Know For Sure: Mike Pence Inhaled

Mike Pence Inhaled. And Inhaled. And Inhaled.

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence's (R) Tuesday press conference was meant to address the controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act he signed last week.

His promise to "fix" the law left many on both sides confused as to where the issue was headed, but his noisy breathing was probably the most bewildering thing about the event.

Pence attempted to dismiss claims that the RFRA was intended to discriminate against members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. He vowed that the "religious freedom" law would be clarified soon. Yet during the nearly 40-minute event, Pence's metaphorical suffocation under national pressure appeared to morph into the real thing.

@maddow rewatching the #Pence press conference confirms my fears: I didn't have audio issues w/ my phone. He was intensly nostril breathing.

Perhaps he just has narrow nostrils, or maybe a cold. You be the judge. Watch our video above.
