WASHINGTON, April 3 (Reuters) - The campaign of the likely U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has signed a lease to house its headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, Politico reported on Friday citing a source familiar with the deal.
Clinton, a former U.S. Secretary of State and First Lady, is expected to launch her White House bid for the 2016 election later this month. Her campaign will occupy two floors of an office building at 1 Pierrepont Plaza in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, according to Politico.
The signing of the lease starts the clock on the campaign notifying the Federal Election Commission of the election season plans to ensure compliance with the rules that restrict campaign activities for undeclared candidates, Politico reported.
