This Sunny Yellow Entry Proves The Power Of Curb Appeal

Now THIS Is How You Do Curb Appeal

The elements of great curb appeal sound simple enough to pull off, but getting them right can be tricky. More often than not, there's landscaping to be done, architectural changes to be made and, almost always, painting.

Blogger and serial home renovator Sarah Farrell knows the drill, especially after her latest makeover. Farrell completed a complete overhaul of a 1920s cottage called The Indiana House in her hometown of Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Farrell spared no attention to detail on the exterior of the 1,600-square-foot home, even though its interior required a total gut renovation that took eight months to complete. In fact, the outside of the house was painted and repainted three times before Farrell settled on a color she liked: An inky blue by Sherwin Williams called Outerspace.
