Lorraine Bracco Explains How To Stop Your 60s From Being 'The Beginning Of The End'

At 60, Lorraine Bracco is finally getting serious about her health, and she hopes many others will do the same thing.

In her new book To the Fullest: The Clean Up Your Act Plan to Lose Weight, Rejuvenate, and Be the Best You Can Be, the "Sopranos" actress shares her tips for ensuring the golden years truly sparkle.

"When you are my age ... women really have to start to grab a hold of getting older and instead of falling down the hill of old age, I think we have to put the brakes on and start to pay attention to our bodies," Bracco told HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri on Monday.

Bracco was inspired to take better care of herself after she watched the end of her own parents' lives.

"I lost my parents, and that was a big thing, to watch two people you've loved and adored suffer. That was hard," Bracco said. "And I vowed after burying them that I was going to take control of my health and do everything to prevent any kind of illness."

Part of what Bracco changed in her own life was to start "eating clean" and cutting out things like sugar, gluten and dairy, which she hopes will keep her feeling great for years to come.

"I'm 60, so I don't want to have this be the beginning of the end. I want this to be kinda great," she said.
