Curler Makes Impossibly 'Epic' 'Shot Of The Year'

Brad Gushue has some stone cold curling skills.

The Newfoundland curler, who notched a gold medal for Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics, made an impossibly impressive shot early last month at the Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary, Alberta:

"That was the best shot I've ever made in my life," Gushue told the CBC after the game-winning throw. "My heart is still pounding."

Gushue's excitement was mirrored by the sports commentators covering the event, who couldn't stop gushing.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" one of the TV commentators screamed as each of the opposing team's stones were deftly knocked from the center. "The impossible becomes ..... reality ... That was epic."

"That was the shot of the week," he added, before his colleague corrected him: "That was the shot of the year."
