Jon Stewart Collects The Funniest GOP Responses To Hillary Clinton's Announcement

Jon Stewart Mocks GOP Responses To Clinton's Big Announcement

Over the weekend, Hillary Clinton announced that she's running for president, and of course those on the right were quick to attack.

On Monday night's "Daily Show," Jon Stewart himself called Clinton's reel of everyday Americans as "boring as shit," but he moved on to show how some GOP responses were a little over the top.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who is also running, released a video showing an Orwellian future under Clinton. National Rifle Association executive vice president Wayne LaPierre warned that the former secretary of state would lead America into “a permanent darkness of deceit and despair.” As for Ted Cruz, the Republican candidate from Texas, well, he released a quick clip that Stewart said looked as if it was filmed on "the set of a 1970s porno shoot." But maybe there was more going on than the clip showed. Stewart jokingly zoomed out to reveal what Cruz was really doing.
