PFLAGCanada released this beautiful television commercial this week as a tribute to all of the same-sex couples who were never able to legally wed one another in the past.
Called "Nobody's Memories," the video is a mash-up of what appears to be vintage reels of same-sex couples joining in unions that states failed to recognize. It's definitely one commercial that will tug at your heartstrings.
"This is our tribute to all those in the past who were never allowed to marry by law -- and to everyone who is still denied the right today," the video's description notes. "Share your love stories, wedding photos and videos on Instagram and Twitter with #lovemadelegal and let's make gay marriage legal everywhere."
While same-sex marriage has been law in Canada since 2005, the video is likely a response toan expected ruling from the United States Supreme Court about marriage equality in June.
