New York Senate Leader Taken Into Custody By FBI In Corruption Case

NEW YORK, May 4 (Reuters) - New York Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos, a Republican, was taken into custody by federal authorities on Monday morning as part of a public corruption matter, an FBI spokesman said.

Skelos and his son, Adam, were seen by a Reuters photographer walking into the Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters in lower Manhattan earlier in the day following reports that the two men would be charged criminally. (Reporting by Nate Raymond in New York; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
