Gay-Straight Promposal Teens Get Ready For Their Big Night Out In This Heartwarming Clip

See The Gay-Straight Proposal Pals Get Suited Up Before Their Big Night Out

The gay-straight promposal teens went to prom last weekend and you can watch them get suited up, thanks to Teen Vogue.

Jacob Lescenski and Anthony Martinez, who are juniors at the Desert Oasis High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, became an Internet sensation after Lescenski, who is straight, asked the openly gay Martinez to the prom.

Teen Vogue surprised the duo with a shopping trip to Topman and a limo to take them to the May 2 dance.

"I decided that asking Anthony would be something he would very much enjoy because he always goes to dances alone, and he always talks about how badly he wants a guy to take him to dances," Lescenski says in the clip.

Martinez says he was "just thankful to go a dance with one of my best friends" and not focused on the amount of media attention his story generated.

"I expected people to say [that] this is different, it's not OK," he notes. "But it is OK, and that's what we're trying to prove."

Family members of both teens say they weren't aware of the big promposal before it happened, but had nothing but praise for the guys.

Meanwhile, Martinez tweeted some dashing photos of himself striking a pose with Lescenski before the festivities.
