Clint Eastwood Makes Joke About Caitlyn Jenner At Spike TV's Guys' Choice Awards

A joke about Caitlyn Jenner made by Clint Eastwood at Spike TV's Guys' Choice Awards on Saturday will be cut by the network when the show airs later this month.

Eastwood mocked Jenner while introducing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at the awards show, which was held over the weekend at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City. He reportedly compared Johnson, who currently stars in the action flick "San Andreas" and HBO's new series "Ballers," to other athletes who have gone into acting, saying: "Jim Brown and Caitlyn Somebody."

David Schwarz, Spike TV senior vice president of communications, confirmed the remark made about Jenner to USA Today and said it will be cut from the special when it airs Saturday, June 18.

"Spike will remove the reference in the version that will air," he said in an email to The Huffington Post.

Jenner appears on the July 2015 cover of Vanity Fair following her powerful "20/20" special with Diane Sawyer in April, during which she came out as transgender. She will receive the coveted Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs in July.

A rep for Spike TV was not immediately available for further comment.
