Judy Shalom Nir-Mozes, an Israeli TV and radio personality and the wife of Interior Minister Silvan Shalom, apologized on Sunday after tweeting, and then deleting, a joke about U.S. President Barack Obama.

Shortly after tweeting the joke to her 74,000 followers, Mozes fired off three apology tweets in English, including one directed at Obama himself and one at her husband. She also apologized in Hebrew.

Mozes was criticized in 2012 for comments she made on Facebook regarding her country's military actions in Gaza, the Jerusalem Post reported. She resigned from a position with UNICEF after the backlash.
