After surviving a tragedy, this woman has decided to honor those who died.
A balcony in Berkeley, California, collapsed last week, killing six Irish students who were visiting the United States and seriously injuring several others. Clodagh Cogley, one of the survivors, was left with various injuries including a broken spinal cord, making her chances of using her legs again low.
But despite what she's endured, the 21-year-old student shared some moving words which she posed to her Facebook page on Wednesday, showing others that she'll stay resilient and maintain a positive outlook as a way of paying tribute to those who died.

"The thing I'm taking from this tragedy is that life is short and I intend to honor those who died by living the happiest and most fulfilling life possible," Cogley wrote in her Facebook post. "Enjoy a good dance and the feeling of grass beneath your feet like it's the last time because in this crazy world you never know when it might be."
The incident, which took place during a 21st birthday party, left Cogley with two collapsed lungs, a broken shoulder, a broken knee, five broken ribs along with the spinal cord injury, according to the Facebook post. The 21-year-old mentioned in her post that she'll be moving to a rehabilitation center.
"I'm moving to a great rehabilitation center here in San Francisco for two months (it has dog therapy) and intend to give it everything I've got," student wrote. "Who knows -- maybe legs have been holding me back all these years and I'll realize my talent for wheelchair basketball."
In regards to the collapse, a new report says that the balcony had decayed to the point of dry rot, according to CNN News. Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O'Malley has since opened up a criminal investigation into the collapse, the Associated Press reported.
