Janice Dickinson's Lawyer Says She'll Drop Defamation Case If Cosby Apologizes

Lawyer Lisa Bloom, who represents Janice Dickinson in her defamation suit against Bill Cosby over her allegations of rape, says her client is willing to drop her case if the comedian apologizes.

Bloom joined HuffPost Live on Tuesday and explained that the release of Bill Cosby's 2005 testimony, in which the comedian admits to obtaining quaaludes to give to women with whom he wanted to have sex, is not enough to vindicate Dickinson. Although Dickinson said she felt "validated" upon learning about Cosby's admission, she is still looking for more.

"[Dickinson] doesn't feel vindicated. She's not going to feel vindicated until he acknowledges what he did to her and he apologizes, and that's all she wants. And if he will do that, we will drop the case," Bloom told host Caroline Modaressy-Tehrani.

Bloom went on to say that she thinks Cosby's decade-old testimony will boost Dickinson's case, but that isn't her client's main priority.

"[Bill Cosby's admission], I think legally helps her case a lot, but she says her soul does not feel satisfied by this. She still wants more," Bloom said.
