Get The VIP Treatment When You Tour Buckingham Palace This Summer

While Queen Elizabeth II is away, the rest of us will play... at Buckingham Palace, of course.

Queen Elizabeth is currently at her summer residence, which means the palace is welcoming visitors for its annual Summer Opening. This year, visitors will get a special treat as they'll be able to come in through the "Grand Entrance," usually reserved for visiting astronauts, presidents and prime ministers.

Another cool perk? Visitors will also experience an exhibit called "A Royal Welcome," designed to show people what really goes into a meal with the Queen and her fancy guests (hint: months of planning).

"A Royal Welcome" will run from July 25 to September 27. On display are menus from State Dinners, gifts given to the queen and even the dresses she wore to attend the special meals.
