Senior Citizen Swimsuit Show Proves Age Is Just A Number

They showed us that the catwalk is for everyone.
Across the globe in Tianjin, China, a group of models strutted their stuff in swimsuits at a fashion show on July 23. The only thing a little different than your typical bikini runway? Most of the models were senior citizens.
Shanghaiist reports the fashion show was held by a senior citizen's community group and the Hetong Charitable Foundation for the Elderly "to provide a platform for China's over-60s to express themselves, promoting a healthy and positive lifestyle." The eldest model to participate was 78.

An employee at the Hetong Charitable Foundation told The Huffington Post the average age of the models was around 60, with participants as young as their 40s and 50s. People's Daily Online reported around 100 people participated in the show.
"Who said we are too old for bikinis?" a 68-year-old woman asked Shanghiist while pointing at her exposed stomach. Not us, that's for sure!
