MSNBC No Longer 'Leaning Forward'

Notice something missing from MSNBC these days?

The network's "Lean Forward" graphic, typically located at the top left of the screen, no longer appears. Instead, the network has debuted a bigger and bolder MSNBC logo.

The change comes amid a rebranding effort at MSNBC, which has struggled with poor ratings. As part of the effort, the network is expected to feature more hard news programming and less liberal opinion during the day, making its coverage closer in tone to parent company NBC.

First announced in October 2010, the "Lean Forward" slogan was an attempt by MSNBC to embrace a progressive identity.
