Kanye West is getting another award to add to his collection.

On Sunday night, the 38-year-old rapper will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV VMAs. The award, which will be presented during the live broadcast, is the highest honor given out at the show.

MTV stated in a press release that West will receive the award "for his career spanning groundbreaking videos, legendary VMA performances, and continued impact on music, art, fashion, and culture." They also shared a promo video that offers a little glimpse of some of the artist's best videos over the years.

The rapper and husband of Kim Kardashian has become somewhat of a VMA legend over the years. From his first appearance onstage in 2004 to that time he didn't let Taylor Swift finish, West has no doubt been responsible for some of the show's most memorable moments.

But shock factor aside, West has the talent to back it up. He's also given some of the best performances in VMAs history (see: 2013's "Blood on the Leaves," 2010's "Runaway" or 2004's medly featuring none other than Chaka Khan).

West joins the already impressive list of past Vanguard recipients, including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Britney Spears and most recently, Beyonce.

The 2015 MTV VMAs will air on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, with Miley Cyrus serving as host.
