A One-Ingredient Dessert You Won't Feel Guilty About Eating

It's creamy, it's delicious and, even better, it's low in calories.

Warm summer days beg for cool-downs in the form of frozen desserts, but when you have neither an ice-cream maker nor the will to seek out a shop selling soft-serve, sweet relief may seem just out of reach. Except, it's not. As long as you have one banana, you can make your own ice-cold, ice-cream-inspired treat.

Frozen Banana Soft Serve

OWN

Ingredients

1 banana per serving

Optional toppings, such as cinnamon, grated dark chocolate or crumbled gingersnaps

Directions

Peel the ripened bananas, place in a large freezer bag and freeze overnight (or for at least two hours).

Break the frozen bananas in half and place the pieces in a food processor. Pulse until smooth.

You may freeze the mixture for a harder consistency, or enjoy it right away by scooping into bowl or cone and sprinkling with your choice of toppings.
