Say Bye To 'Hunger Games' And All These Other Netflix Titles In September 2015

Netflix is ending its contract with Epix, which may leave you wondering: Why should we care?

In short, you're going to see a bunch of high-profile movies leave Netflix in September. We're disappointed, you're disappointed -- Netflix is (sort of) disappointed. Epix, the Viacom-owned cable network, had been providing the streaming giant access to big-budget films since the two first joined forces in 2010. Now, five years later, Epix will offer Hulu the Paramount, MGM and Lionsgate titles it previously lent to the 'Flix.

Of course, the streaming service has been investing in new, original series for some time in an effort to keep its lineup fresh. (It's fun to catch up on TV series and rewatch old movies, but sometimes you want to see the latest episode, you know?) But in a blog post, the company lamented the slow pace of Hollywood licensing, which "means it often takes more than a year before consumers can watch a theatrically released movie when and how they want." Even with agreements with companies like Epix.

While Netflix keeps fighting the establishment, here's what's leaving the streaming service in September.
