Watch Bernie Sanders Say His Criminal Justice Policies Are 'On Fleek'

The presidential hopeful was a bit befuddled.

"Nightly Show" host Larry Wilmore got Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) to describe his criminal justice policies as "on fleek" on Monday.

The 74-year-old senator looked a bit befuddled when Wilmore suggested that he use the term in a speech to the black community.

After a little urging, Sanders stated: "Larry Wilmore says that I should tell you that my plans for criminal justice reform are 'on fleek,' and that is it."

The Democratic candidate was a guest on Wilmore's new segment, which is titled “Tyler Perry Presents Lee Daniels’ Soul Food Sit-Down with Larry Wilmore based on the novel 'Pull' by Sapphire."

Sanders has taken a strong stance on criminal justice reform, introducing legislation to end private prisons and releasing a detailed platform on combating "legal violence."

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly said that Sanders was the first guest on this segment.
