Rapper Matisyahu: Leaving Orthodox Judaism Was 'One Of The Hardest Things'

His evolution was an "incredibly spiritual and honest experience."

After years of being in the spotlight as a Hasidic Orthodox Jewish artist who donned traditional garb on stage, rapper Matisyahu's ideas of how to observe Jewish law changed. Parting with the Orthodox parts of his faith was "one of the hardest things I've had to go through," he told HuffPost Live on Tuesday.
