The Worst Turf In the NFL Just Swallowed A Kicker's Foot Whole

Not exactly a field of dreams.

San Francisco's Levi's Stadium cost $1.2 billion to build and was touted as "game-changing" when it opened in 2014.

On Sunday, it made good on the "game-changing" promise when its turf collapsed under the foot of Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, all but assuring he'd miss the field goal.

SB Nation points out this issue is not new. The stadium has struggled with its terrible turf since it opened, even replacing it outright on multiple occasions.

Either Levi's Stadium has the worst turf in the league, or management made a terrible decision in adopting the gophers from "Caddyshack."

Hopefully they solve the puzzle before Feb. 7, when Levi's Stadium is scheduled to host Super Bowl 50.
