NHL Team Makes Things Right After Mean Man Steals Puck From Kid

The kid had the last laugh.

Buffalo Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma just wanted to make a young Pittsburgh Penguins fan's night more special. Bylsma, who coached the Penguins from 2008 to 2014, returned to Pittsburgh Thursday night for the first time as a visiting coach.

During the second period of play, Bylsma turned and faced the crowd, innocuously tossing a hockey puck over the glass to a kid. The little guy's eyes lit up as the puck descended toward his tiny outstretched hands.

And then an old man snatched it away.

According to CBS Sports, the fan was immediately booed by the surrounding crowd. After the above GIF quickly spread on social media, the Penguins took some very thoughtful action.

By the end of the game, Trey, the young fan, got hooked up by the Penguins with a Sidney Crosby jersey, a hockey stick and another puck from Bylsma. He made it out of Consol Energy Center like a bandit!
