Carrie Brownstein And Amy Poehler Just Spontaneously Wed A Lesbian Couple

"All of us here are rooting for you."

And you thought celebrity book readings could be so mundane.

Watch Carrie Brownstein and Amy Poehler officiate an impromptu wedding for a lesbian couple during such an event.

Amid a Q&A session Tuesday at Pasadena Presbyterian Church for Brownstein's reading of her memoir "Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl," two women in the audience asked Brownstein, an ordained minister, to marry them on the spot, US Weekly reported.

Egged on by Poehler, Brownstein agreed. Poehler, of "SNL" and "Parks and Recreation," provided comic relief on the piano, while Brownstein, the musician and "Portlandia" star, winged it beautifully as the officiant. She told Kendall Oshiro and Genevieve Hernandez, "All of us here are rooting for you."

The two then exchanged their vows and Brownstein announced them married.

The Huffington Post reached out to Poehler and Brownstein for comment and we'll let you know if we hear back.

In the meantime, congrats to the happy couple!
