Hear Rob Lowe Voice Simba In Disney's Upcoming 'Lion King' Sequel

'90s pop culture mainstays make a joint return.

Rob Lowe oozes charm even as a "Lion King."

The mega-star voices Simba in "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar," Disney's upcoming TV sequel to the iconic 1994 film. Now, in a brand new clip, you can take your first listen.

In a majestic Lion Dad voice, Simba teaches his daughter Kiara about the Pride Lands in preparation for her future reign as Queen, when his son Kion busts into the serious moment with his friend Bunga, a honey badger. Kiara -- likely the future obsession of young girls everywhere -- really doesn't have time for their little-boy antics.

In a previously released clip from the film, viewers got better acquainted with Kion and Bunga as they pranced around the Pride Lands. Everything works out cool until they accidentally stumble into the High Lands, and Bunga's "Hakuna Matata," no-worries attitude gets them into some trouble with the hyenas.

Some rivalries travel through generations. (Especially, like, in the animal kingdom.)

The film also stars Gabrielle Union as the voice of Nala.

"The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar" premieres Sunday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. on Disney Channel.
