Reigning MVP Stephen Curry has had it good lately. His Golden State Warriors and his beloved Carolina Panthers are the only undefeated teams left in their respective leagues, proving the naysayers wrong and putting up points at a record rate.

So when the Charlotte native was asked Wednesday which squad would lose first, Curry had to hesitate for a moment before responding.

My answer to that is us, but not until, like, February hopefully,” he said.

In other words, Curry’s predicting that the Panthers will finish the year at 19-0, sweeping through both the regular season and the playoffs, winning the Super Bowl on February 7.

As ESPN’s David Newton pointed out, Golden State would have to rack up a 48-0 record to walk into the month of February without a loss. But, considering the level at which the Warriors have been playing thus far this year, we should know better than to count them out.

"Who knows?" Curry responded. “There's a lot of great talent in this league. We're obviously probably not going to go 82-0, but you want to approach each game that way and see what happens."
