This Video Of Rita Moreno Being Delightful Will Make Your Day

The only bad thing about this short video is that it’s short.

“Being the house ethnic was destroying my life and my sense of myself. Because I had been consigned to play every dusky maiden you’ve ever seen in your life in movies.”Watch actress Rita Moreno, the first Latino person to have won an Oscar, a Grammy, a Tony and an Emmy, give her #BriefButSpectacular take on her lifetime in show business (as well as an acapella performance of ‘This Is All I Ask”.)

Yesterday on the eve of her 84 birthday, PBS helped Moreno bestow yet another gift upon the world -- a short video that is as delightful to watch as her performance as Anita in West Side Story.

In the segment for PBS NewsHour called “Brief But Spectacular” posted to the program's Facebook page, Moreno discusses the identity issues she experienced while being the what she described as the “house ethnic” for MGM Studios, covering Time Magazine and performing with Animal from The Muppets.

The only problem with this video? We're craving more even Moreno in our lives now. Yet, until her next project or interview, this segment will just have to suffice.
