Jennifer Lawrence Thinks We All Pay Too Much Attention To Her

Since her breakout role in 2010's "Winter's Bone," Jennifer Lawrence has seemingly been everywhere.

She's starred in two major franchises ("Hunger Games" and "X-Men"), won an Oscar and became America's favorite sweetheart-without-a-filter. Due to her candid interviews and red carpet antics, she's also one of the most GIF-able celebrities to come out of Hollywood in this digital age.

But Internet fame hasn't been her goal. In fact, it's quite the opposite. The "Hunger Games" star opened up about why she refrains from social media in the latest issue of Glamour magazine.

"That’s [social media] more exposure -- that’s just more me. I want less me. I want people to have less me,” she said.

She went on to admit she feels "over-paid-attention-to."

"I’m not trying to be a GIF. I’m not trying to be a picked-up-on-Twitter quote. All I’m trying to do is act," she told the magazine.

She continued, "I have to promote these movies. And I am, at the end of the day, I guess, a f**king lunatic. So if you record what I’m saying, it’s gonna be goofy. [Laughs.] I’m just a girl, sitting in front of the world and asking them to forgive her for speaking."

And speaking of being goofy, Lawrence has become BFFs with a few of our favorite funny female celebs: Amy Schumer, Emma Stone and Adele. (Note: if you were unaware of Adele's sense of humor, please refer to this, this and this.)

"It’s so weird; I don’t like new people," the "Joy" star said. "But these two women [Emma Stone and Adele] -- and Amy [Schumer] -- they’re really lovely. And they’re so normal. I feel like I’m hanging out with my friends -- my friends that don’t give a f**k about what I do."

Lawrence also revealed a little tidbit that's sure to excite fans of both hers and Schumer's. "Amy's always wanted to live on Martha's Vineyard, and we saw this house, and we're like, 'This is where we're gonna Grey Gardens, and we’re gonna grow old and crazy together.' That’s our life plan," she said.

Can they turn that into a reality show/movie so we can watch it forever?
