A woman in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is facing various charges after police said she bit off the finger of a Walmart employee who was trying to stop her from shoplifting.

Carolynn Wright was arrested early Sunday morning after loss prevention officers allegedly saw her swipe numerous items including condoms, lube and panties, totaling $40.07, TheState.com reports.

When two employees attempted to stop her from leaving the store, Wright allegedly punched one of them in the head and bit off a portion of the other one's finger, according to the Associated Press.

A woman who witnessed the fight told police she tried to call 911, but Wright grabbed her phone.

The woman said Wright grabbed her by the hair and only let go when the victim punched her in the face, WPDE.com reports.

Wright then ran out of the Walmart to a waiting vehicle and screamed "Drive!" to her getaway driver.

The driver later told police that he didn't leave the premises because there was someone standing in front of the car, WSPA.com reports.

Wright was charged with aggravated assault and shoplifting, according to WJBF.com.

EMS responders were unable to reattach the finger to the Walmart employee, according to WYFF4.com.

Wright is currently being held without bond , The Smoking Gun reports.

Last March, when she was employed as a stripper at club called Chez Joey, she was accused of attacking a fellow dancer with a “clear plastic high-heeled shoe,” according to The Smoking Gun.

She was sentenced to six days in jail and ordered to pay $173.90 in fines and court costs.
