'Harry Potter' Fans Raise Their Wands For A Beautiful Goodbye To Alan Rickman

"One of them was a Slytherin, and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew."
Warner Bros. Pictures

Fans of the "Harry Potter" series mourned the death of Alan Rickman, who died at 69 after a battle with cancer.

Potterheads took to social media to share images from a particularly powerful scene from the film "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" where Hogwarts students raise their wands in honor of the late Albus Dumbledore.

The genius that was Rickman, who played Severus Snape in the film series, warranted the same tribute.
