The Sexist Reason This Church Looks Like A High-Heeled Shoe

Because women love shoes, right? Right?

Women everywhere, rejoice. Finally there's a church in the world that understands what we really care about.

Towering 55 feet above the province of Chaiyi, Taiwan is a giant glass church in the shape of a high-heeled shoe. (Think: Cinderella's glass slipper.) United Daily News first reported on the monstrosity, which government officials say "will be tailored to women, especially female tourists visiting the area."

It is unclear how the church will "tailor" to the needs and interests of women, though reports say it will contain "female-oriented features."

Government officials decided to begin building the church last June. It is set to open on February 8 and will be used primarily for wedding ceremonies and photo shoots, according to BBC News.

"In our planning, we want to make it a blissful, romantic avenue… Every girl imagines how they will look like when they become the bride," Pan Tsuei-ping, manager of the local government's recreation department, told the BBC.

We're not sure whether to laugh or cry.
