The first Democratic presidential debate this year takes place Sunday, Jan. 17, starting at 9 p.m. EST.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley will all participate at the event, which is happening in Charleston, South Carolina. This is the last Democratic debate before the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary.
