All Three Contestants Finish With $0 In Ultimate 'Jeopardy!' Fail

I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

What is ... a quick way out of here, Alex?

Final Jeopardy didn't go as planned for all three contestants on Monday's episode of "Jeopardy!" In perhaps the ultimate game-show fail, everyone bet it all, and each one crashed and burned.

The category was "State Capitals," and the clue was, "A 1957 event led to the creation of a national historic site in this city, signed into law by a president whose library is now there too."

All contestants whiffed on the answer, "Little Rock, Arkansas," ending in a three-way tie for $0. Alex Trebek awarded them no points, and may God have mercy on their souls.

For The Win jokes that the scores might be something you'd see on a "Saturday Night Live" sketch, but even that doesn't seem harsh enough. At least they get to talk about "Turd Ferguson."

The only "turd" on the show Monday was Trebek, who knew exactly what was going down. He sinisterly explained, "Tomorrow we will have no returning champion. We will introduce three new players to 'Jeopardy!' So, sorry, folks." Then he super casually probably pulled a lever and dropped everyone in a fire pit.

Sorry, folks. This is just standard procedure. The contestants did get some minimum prize money, but that still doesn't save you from the fire pit.
