Jon Hamm's First Name Is Spelled Wrong On His Golden Globe

Say it with us now: J-O-N, space, H-A-M-M.

Jon (not John) Hamm's name is spelled incorrectly on one of his Golden Globes.

You know the intern at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association who messed this up has been writing Hamm's name the right way on a chalkboard à la Bart Simpson over and over again ever since this news broke. "There is no H in Jon. There is no H in Jon. There is no H in Jon ... "

The "Mad Men" actor sat down with Vanity Fair over the weekend at the Sundance Film Festival, where he's serving as a juror for this year's films. Hamm revealed that, due to the writer's strike in 2008, he received his award for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series, Drama in the mail -- the Globes weren't televised that year -- and discovered the major error.

“I was like, ‘Oh, man. Uh, guys, there’s no H,'” he told Vanity Fair's Krista Smith.

Hamm, who earned his second Globe at this year's ceremony, hopes the HFPA will correct the typo this time around.

"I haven't gotten a little plaque to stick on the new one yet, so hopefully, if you're out there watching: it's J-O-N, or Jonathan," he added.

To be fair, Jon Hamm's name does have a pretty weird spelling. No H? Two Ms? If the Golden Globes can't get it right, what are we even doing here?
