Harry Styles Celebrates His Birthday By Quoting Ex Taylor Swift

Are they in the clear yet?

Like most normal 22-year-olds, One Direction's Harry Styles quoted those famous Taylor Swift lyrics to mark his birthday on Monday.

But unlike most "normal" 22-year-olds, Styles happened to date the person behind the lyrics, which simply means the Internet erupted in a frenzy when he tweeted out those 43 characters.

The "Blank Space" singer dated the boybander way back in late 2012, when she was 22 (soon to be 23) and Styles was 18. They were affectionately known as "Haylor" and lasted for a few short months.

The two have seemingly traded lyrics about each other, with Swift possibly referencing Styles in her songs "Out of the Woods" and "Style," and 1D responding with "Perfect."

In "Style," (which is probably named after Harry, let's be honest), Swift sings:

Midnight, you come and pick me up / No headlights / Long drive, could end in burning flames or paradise / Fade into view, it's been a while since I have even heard from you / I should just tell you to leave cause I / Know exactly where it leads but I / Watch us go 'round and 'round each time

And in One Direction's "Perfect," the lyrics read:

If you like midnight driving with the windows down / And if you like going places we can't even pronounce / If you like to do whatever you've been dreaming about / Baby, you're perfect

So now that they've traded song lyrics, what does it mean (if/when) they trade TWEETS? Will Swift tweet back at Styles? Will Calvin Harris, Swift's current, Twitter-active beau, chime in? Will Swift's squad tweet their thoughts?

The songstress hasn't tweeted since Jan. 13, so we're just going to have to hold our breath and wait.
