ESPN's Linda Cohn believes that this Sunday's Super Bowl matchup between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos could be Peyton Manning's last game in the NFL.
While the "SportsCenter" anchor was impressed by the Broncos' win against the New England Patriots in the lead-up to this weekend's game, Cohn said she thinks 39-year-old Manning will be ready to hang up his jersey soon.
"I believe it will be [his last game]. He's a big competitor, but I think that no matter how the game goes, whether he wins or loses, I think he's going to shut it down. I really do," she said.
Cohn speculated that Manning might head to the Rams to continue building his legacy, but ultimately decided that the quarterback would be retiring soon.
"The Rams, they want to make a big splash and get a big-time quarterback in there. They've talked to Peyton Manning. Who knows if that will tempt them. I think that it will just depend on what happens," she said. "But I think, with all those surgeries that he's had and everything, I think it's his last game."
But she doesn't think Manning will be leaving Levi's Stadium with a Super Bowl 50 ring. Instead, she expects the "playfully cocky" Panthers to win it all.
"It will be a very close first half. I really believe it could be tied. Denver could even be winning at half time," she said. "I would not be shocked, but I believe the Panthers will end up winning by at least 10 [points]."
