Ariana Grande's Introduction Of The Weeknd At The Grammys Was Super Awkward

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ariana Grande is known for her musical impressions of stars like Celine Dion and Christina Aguilera, but as evidenced by her appearance at the 2016 Grammys, she hasn't quite perfected The Weeknd.

The "Problem" singer took the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to introduce the R&B crooner's performance and things got awkward. Fast.

In typical award show fashion, Grande's script was super cheesy. After her "pun of the century" fell flat (to her credit, she did use sarcasm to warn us how bad the joke was), the singer proceeded to sing a little bit of The Weeknd's "Earned It," in the style of his voice. When she finished, fully aware of just how awkward the moment was, the look on Grande's face was basically, "¯\_(ツ)_/¯."

At least she managed to keep a smile on her face.
