This grandmother celebrated her birthday by laughing in a winter wonderland.

Betty Ritchie, an 85-year-old from Pennsylvania, unleashed her inner child for her birthday this year. The octogenarian took to the fluffy stuff and made a snow angel.

Sherry Proper Spangler, Ritchie's daughter, posted a video of the incident on Facebook, where it went viral as social media users were taken back to their childhoods.

Watch as the octogenarian is gently helped to the ground by her daughter and son-in-law. She proceeds to make a snow angel, clearly enjoying the classic snowy activity.

According to Today.com, Ritchie is no rookie snow angel-maker and frequently participated in the winter fun when her kids were younger. On the day the video was taken, which was shortly after her birthday, she just felt the need to make a snow angel.

While the act was a lot of fun, the activity as well as the outpour of positivity from the video actually has a deeper meaning to Ritchie, who lost one of her daughters last year.

"She's been really down in the dumps about my sister dying last August. We just think it's been a boost for her spirit," Spangler told the outlet. "I said, 'Mom, you've just brought a smile to a million people's faces."
